Day Two=Ruin

Our next stop was the ruins of Fountains Abbey.  Built in 1200 A.D this Abbey was destroyed during the Dissolution of the Monasteries in King Henry VIII's reign.  He made for a beautiful landscape!
Lisa and I near the creek.

Sarah, Lisa, and I on our way to the Abbey... You can see it poking above the tree line in the distance.

All I can say is.. Hercules

Yorkminster Abbey
I was attempting to be the rest of a tree

  1. Hey Nicole!
We absolutely loved talking with you today. How very cool. The connection was great and we loved hearing your voice tell your own stories...the Fred and Robyn versions are fine but it was great to hear from you.

We had a really nice evening tonight for Mimi's birthday. We had Dad's famous Robyn's Stew, the girlies played outside, and Mimi and Dan wanted to go over every possible scenario that might happen when the baby comes... It was a really nice night but there was just something missing that I can't quite put my finger on ;)

We love you, miss you, but are so excited for the experience that you are having. Keep posting pictures and updating the blog. Be careful (remember TAKEN!) and we will talk soon.

  3. We so did NOT go over every possible scenario (well, maybe like almost everyone) but seriously, gimme a break!

Missed you there, but you already knew that. Thanks for not giving up on calling me, so enjoyed talking to you Saturday and Sunday.

And, in regards to Hercules and you being a tree... you=big fat dork. But I love my dorky sister.

    Love the pictures!
